How to Tune Weapons in Modern Warfare 2

One of the best features added to the latest title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022), has been the introduction of weapon tuning. Many players in Call of Duty are looking for all the advantages they can possibly get over their opponent, to get high killstreaks, more XP, or maybe just to get the camo challenges done quicker, and weapon tuning is a feature aiding this.

Weapon tuning allows you to tune the attachments on your weapon to favor certain stats, allowing you to further optimize your weapon towards your desired setup.

How to Unlock Weapon Tuning:

In order to unlock weapon tuning on any gun (excludes Launchers and Melee Weapons), you must get the maximum weapon level on your chosen weapon. From there, you can add attachments to your weapon, and tune them in favor of particular statistics.

When tuning, you should watch the points on the radar graph, as tuning all the way in favor of one stat does not mean you are getting the most out of it, since the sliders are not linear. This means that only going 75% in favor of one stat may be how you get the most out of it, but this varies across all attachments.

Some attachments do not have weapon tuning available, such as lasers, magazines, bipods, and some factory stocks.
