Best SMG in Warzone 2.0 – Attachments and Tuning

If you’re looking to get as many advantages as possible over your opponents in the new Warzone 2.0, then you’ve come to the right place. Here we’ll discuss the best and currently most popular SMG in Warzone, with the optimal class setup and tuning to go along with it.

The best SMG for Warzone 2.0 is without a doubt the Fennec 45. Many players may already know of the Fennec’s power, or will have seen the countless amount of enemies picking it up from a buy station and causing chaos with it.

Currently the best perk setup is the Recon perk package, as it has the Birdseye perk which is very useful for locating enemies, alongside other useful perks such as Double Time, Tracker, and Focus.

Note that custom perks will be coming to MWII Season 2, but it appears that the selection of perks will be somewhat limited initially.

If you’re looking for some strong pistols to pair with your Fennec 45 loadout, check out our post here, where we cover the best pistol setups for Warzone 2.0.

Below you’ll find the best attachments setup with the respective tuning for the Fennec 45, and if you’re unsure how to access tuning you can find out here.

Best Attachments for the Fennec 45:

Here are the attachments featured above:

  • Stock: Agile Assault-7 Stock
  • Magazine: Fennec Mag 45
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Barrel: ZLR 16.5″ Ignition Barrel

The aim of this build is to create an agile close range weapon that melts through players as fast as possible. As we’re in Warzone, we’ve had to apply damage range buffs to the weapon as well, due to Al Mazrah’s many open environments.

The Agile Assault-7 is a great stock as it increases sprint speed, allowing you to cross the map faster than usual. Alongside this it boosts other mobility and handling stats, making your movement and weapon use faster.

Using the Fennec Mag 45 is a no brainer, as you burn through bullets at 1111 rounds per minute, firing faster than any of the other SMGs available. You’ll find this on essentially all the Fennec 45 class setups.

In order to mitigate the heavily reduced handling from the barrel, put on the VLK LZR 7MW, as it counteracts this by greatly increasing ADS speed.

As found in our other guides such as the Best M4 or Best Kastov 762 class setups, the Lockgrip Precision-40 appears once again. This is a very useful attachment as the recoil pattern is significantly narrowed, reducing horizontal recoil and making general recoil control very easy.

The ZLR Ignition is a key piece in this class setup, as it provides the required range and damage needed for mid range fights in Warzone, whilst also aiding general recoil control.

Below is the best tuning for each of these attachments.
