Best LMG in Warzone 2.0 – Attachments and Tuning

Light Machine Guns are a very popular choice of weapon in Warzone, where their extensive magazines allow you to tear through players’ armor and send them to the Gulag.

If you’re looking to use an LMG in Warzone 2.0, why not use the most overpowered one on the market, the RPK. Below you’ll find the best attachments and tuning for the RPK in Warzone, great for distance shooting while having extremely low recoil.

As usual the best perk setup is the Recon perk package, but as covered here, custom perks will be returning to Warzone 2.0 in Season 02.

If you’re looking for some good Secondary Weapons to pair with the RPK, check out our post on the best Secondary setups here. Each of the builds there can be paired nicely with the RPK, so pick whichever one you find most appealing.

Best RPK Attachments for Warzone:

Here are the RPK attachments:

  • Optic: Kazan-Holo
  • Rear Grip: Demo-X2 Grip
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
  • Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40
  • Barrel: ZLR Talon 5

The purpose of this RPK build is to have an LMG that has a high damage range for Al Mazrah’s open wastelands, whilst also having as minimal recoil as possible so you can laser your enemies down as fast as possible.

Aim Down Sight Speed does take a hit in this build but this is less important in Warzone as it is in Multiplayer, especially if you’re running an SMG like the Fennec 45 as a secondary weapon.

The choice of optic in this build is up to user preference, but we’ve gone with the Kazan-Holo as it has a good zoom and clear sight picture.

The Demo-X2 grip is the optimal rear grip, as it provides increased Recoil Control with a slight decrease in Aiming Stability. As the RPK has a 75 round magazine, Aiming Stability is less important on this weapon than it would be on a Sniper Rifle like the Signal 50.

Adding specific ammunition to your build is a great way to add another attachment and tune the important stats you’re focusing on, whilst minimizing the negative impacts to the weapon.

In this case, HV ammo causes a slight decrease to Damage Range, but we counteract this with our choice of muzzle attachment.

As found in many of our previous builds such as the Fennec 45 (Best SMG in Warzone 2.0 post), the Lockgrip Precision-40 once again returns, narrowing the recoil pattern as much as possible as usual.

The effectiveness of the Lockgrip allows us to use a suppressor as the muzzle attachment, as not much more horizontal recoil control is required.

For our final attachment, we’ve selected the ZLR Talon 5 suppressor in order to have sound suppression in the Warzone, whilst also increasing core stats like Damage Range and Bullet Velocity.

Below is the tuning for all of the attachments listed above, and if you’re unsure how to tune weapons check out our guide here.
