How to Unlock Polyatomic Camo in Modern Warfare 2

With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) comes many new weapons, maps, and importantly to many players, new mastery camos. The Polyatomic camo is the second last mastery camo to unlock, followed by the Orion mastery camo.

The design features a polygonal texture across the weapons, colored in purple and black. The shiny purple and the unique texture makes your weapon stand out nicely allowing you to show off the grind, especially when using the Riot Shield.

How to Unlock Polyatomic Camo:

In order to begin working at the Polyatomic camo, you must first have unlocked the Platinum camo on 51 weapons in the game. With the release of the DLC weapons in Season 1, this has become easier as you no longer have to earn camos on the Launchers in order to get the final mastery camos.

Once you have completed all the Platinum camo challenges, you can then unlock Polyatomic on all weapons that have the Platinum camo unlocked. For all guns in the game (excludes Melee weapons and Launchers), you must get 25 Headshot Kills in order to unlock the Polyatomic camo on the given weapon.

For the Launchers, you need 15 Double Kills which can be quite the challenge. For Melee weapons you need 10 Kills From Behind on the Riot Shield, and 20 for the Combat Knife.

If you’re going for Orion camo, we’d recommend skipping the Launchers and using the DLC weapons instead, as there are now over 51 weapons in the game. This allows you to replace weapons you’re having the most difficulty on in order to continue progressing through the mastery camo challenges.

If you are trying to unlock the mastery camos on every weapon however, Hardpoint and Headquarters gamemodes are ideal for getting double kills with the launchers – just find a nice spot to watch over the objective and let loose once you see the enemy capturing it.
