Fastest Way to Level Gathering in New World – Hemp Farming at Primrose
With the recent release of Amazon’s MMO New World, players are scrounging around to find the best possible gear, and fastest ways to level up their trade skills.
Harvesting is a trade skill under the category of Gathering, in which levelling it allows for the harvesting of higher level plants. Harvesting benefits many playstyles, such as players interested in Arcana, as these higher level plants provide resources that allow for the crafting of magical weapons, potions, weapon coatings and more. We’ve caught wind of a strategy that’s risen in the New World community, allowing players to reach very high harvesting levels in short amounts of time. You’ll want to get on top of this early, as harvesting grants access to very useful materials for crafting and more.
In the image above, the highlighted area above Primrose, an region in Windsward, marks a large field which regularly spawns the plant hemp. By farming only hemp in this area, players are awarded with ridiculous amounts of XP towards the harvesting skill. Hemp spawns regularly in this area, and usually in large groups. Since Primrose is a very low level area, this is a great spot for new players to rack up a high harvesting skill, which can provide access to high level plants and hence high level weaponry early into the game. We got our character from near zero harvesting to level 30 in around twenty minutes using this strategy alone.
